Arthur Jones: 'I would have ragdolled' Cormier team if run-in turned physical
Tensions were high at the UFC 214 weigh-ins Friday morning, as Jon Jones' brother, Arthur, briefly got into a verbal back and forth with members of Daniel Cormier's team.
Nothing came of the exchange, and the Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman brushed it off as being blown out proportion by onlookers. Had it escalated in a physical manner, Arthur is confident that he would have taken care of things.
"I would have ragdolled all six of them - for the record," Arthur Jones told Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com.
While Cormier himself wasn't involved in the would-be altercation, the elder Jones' brother doesn't seem like he would have been too worried about that, either.
"I'll slap his ass, too," he said.
At long last, Cormier and Jones will go head-to-head for their highly-anticipated rematch Saturday night.
Jones, returning to the Octagon after another lengthy layoff, is looking to recapture the light heavyweight title he once owned and defended on eight consecutive occasions before being stripped of it in April 2015.
