Each week during the NFL season, theScore's Dane Belbeck will handicap every matchup and offer up a three-pack of picks.
Week 9 record (includes TNF pick): 9-3-1
Overall: 71-60-1

New Orleans Saints at Buffalo Bills (+3)
There's no hotter team in the NFL than the New Orleans Saints, who head to Buffalo on a six-game winning streak. However, only two of those wins came on the road, and one was against an Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers. The Saints' defense has been stout, but a rested LeSean McCoy should be able to pile up yards on the ground and give the Bills a late win. Bills 24, Saints 23

New York Jets at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2.5)
The Buccaneers looked terrible in a loss to the Saints last week and will be without starting quarterback Jameis Winston and star wideout Mike Evans. The Jets are coming off their best showing of the season in a win over the Bills. Despite the trends of each team, New York shouldn't be a favorite on the road over anybody. Ryan Fitzpatrick will be under center for Tampa Bay against his old team, and that will give the Bucs a deep threat they didn't have with Winston's injured arm. Buccaneers 28, Jets 21

Houston Texans at Los Angeles Rams (-11.5)
T.J. Yates is reportedly taking first-team reps with the Houston offense, but it's unclear whether he or Tom Savage will get the start. That's terrible news either way for a fan base that was watching Deshaun Watson shred the Seahawks' defense only two weeks ago. The Rams look like an unstoppable force right now, and it's very tough to see the hapless Texans being the ones to slow them down. Rams 30, Texans 10
Remaining matchups
Cleveland Browns (+12) at Detroit Lions
It's a short week for the Lions after a win in Green Bay on Monday, while the Browns come in off a bye. That difference in preparation should ensure Cleveland keeps it within 12 points. Lions 23, Browns 14
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (-5.5)
There's no reason to think the Packers can move the ball at all on the Bears with Brett Hundley under center. It's usually unwise to lay this many points on a bad team, but without Rodgers on the field, the Bears are actually the better outfit. Bears 24, Packers 13
Cincinnati Bengals (+4.5) at Tennessee Titans
After being ejected last week for fighting, expect a monster game from A.J. Green against the league's 18th-ranked pass defense. That will keep things very close in Tennessee and cover the number. Titans 30, Bengals 28
Pittsburgh Steelers (-10) at Indianapolis Colts
The Colts have three wins this season, with two coming against the winless Browns and 49ers. Meanwhile, their six losses have come by a combined 195-85 scoreline. The Steelers enter off their bye tied for top spot in the AFC. This could be ugly. Steelers 30, Colts 10
Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins (+1)
Teddy Bridgewater will be dressed as the backup for the Vikings, but Case Keenum will be running the offense. Washington will build off last week's massive win at Seattle with another strong showing. Redskins 24, Vikings 20
Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3.5)
The Chargers have already made the trip to the East Coast for the 1 p.m. kickoff twice this year, and are 1-1 in those contests. They'll keep it close, but the Jaguars will stop Philip Rivers late to get the win. Jaguars 27, Chargers 21
Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons (-3)
After starting the season 3-0, the Falcons have lost four of their last five games and the offense looks like a shell of the dominant unit from last season. It appears Atlanta has caught a break, however, as Ezekiel Elliott's suspension will finally sideline him, beginning with this contest. That tips the scales in the Falcons' favor. Falcons 27, Cowboys 20
New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers (+3)
The Giants are an absolute mess, yet they're still favored on the road over the winless 49ers. Kyle Shanahan's bunch will show that's a mistake and grab their first victory of the year. 49ers 21, Giants 20
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos (+7.5)
Brock Osweiler is not beating the Patriots, but after last week's disaster against the Eagles, expect an inspired performance from the Broncos' defense. Denver doesn't have the offense to win, but a touchdown difference sounds right. Patriots 24, Broncos 17
Miami Dolphins at Carolina Panthers (-9)
The Panthers haven't allowed more than 17 points in a game since Oct. 13 and it's tough to see the struggling Dolphins getting close to that mark. Panthers 24, Dolphins 10
Byes: Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens
