While Ryan Shazier does have movement in his legs, his current progress toward walking again isn't quite as advanced as reported earlier Sunday morning.
A source close to Shazier told Michelle Tafoya of NBC that the Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker wants to clarify the Sunday morning report that he was engaged in a regular walking routine. Shazier does have movement in his legs but still requires assistance when trying to walk.
Shazier underwent spinal stabilization surgery on Dec. 6th after suffering a significant injury in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals two days earlier.
