The New England Patriots reportedly traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Los Angeles Rams Tuesday, and it appears they will not be trading another star offensive player as a result.

The Patriots will apparently keep Rob Gronkowski, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Gronkowski has been the centerpiece of numerous offseason rumors, including the tight end considering retirement to pursue acting, or that he has frustrated head coach Bill Belichick.

If New England does, in fact, retain the five-time All-Pro, he will join Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, and Malcolm Mitchell as Tom Brady's top pass-catching options.
