Packers rookie Tim Boyle bought himself a Rodgers jersey
Green Bay Packers third-string quarterback Tim Boyle was so impressed by Aaron Rodgers' performance in the team's regular-season opener that he went out and bought a No. 12 jersey.
Boyle, an undrafted rookie out of Connecticut, was spotted wearing the jersey around the locker room and as he was leaving Lambeau Field on Monday.
"No, I did not lose a bet," Boyle told ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "I'm wearing it because it's a badass jersey."
Boyle said he purchased the jersey from the Packers Pro Shop for $150. When asked if he got an employee discount, he replied, "Yeah, but it's still a lot of money."
Rodgers went down with a knee injury in the first half of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears but returned to rally the Packers from a 20-0 deficit to a 24-23 victory. The Packers haven't made a decision on his Week 2 status as of yet.
