Tony Romo carded a 79 in the first round of the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship in the Dominican Republic on Thursday, placing last among golfers who finished the round.
The former NFL quarterback and current football analyst got off to an especially rocky start. He bogeyed three of his first four holes and then added a triple-bogey on No. 8. He finished relatively strong, though, playing his last 10 holes at 1-over par.
Romo received a sponsor's exemption to compete in the event for the second consecutive year.
