Ramsey: Trade request 'still stands'
Jalen Ramsey continues to want out of Jacksonville.
The star cornerback said on the most recent episode of the Uninterrupted podcast "17 Weeks" that he still wishes to be traded away from the Jaguars.
"I'm not sure if I've played my final game for the Jags yet or not, but my trade request still stands," Ramsey said. "For me, respect is a huge thing. I kind of touched on it a little bit last week in last week's podcast, but once respect is lost for both parties, I think it's time to part ways."
Ramsey made his trade request last week but still suited up in the Jaguars' Thursday night matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
The two-time Pro Bowl corner has been away from the team this week. He missed Monday with an illness he described as the flu and has since been excused from the team to attend the birth of his daughter.
When Ramsey returns to the field, he said he'll continue to deliver at the level that is expected of him.
"I'm going to continue being a top corner in this league for years to come," he said. "The money will come, but money isn't everything. Peace and happiness means a lot more than the money."
