Report: Kittle expected to return after 2-game absence despite broken ankle
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to get a big boost for Sunday's prime-time showdown with the Green Bay Packers, as tight end George Kittle is expected to play, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Kittle, who's officially listed as questionable with ankle and knee injuries, missed San Francisco's previous two games against the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.
He continued to play in the Niners' Oct. 31 game against the Cardinals despite a broken bone in his ankle, Schefter reports.
The 2018 Pro Bowler remains the 49ers' leading receiver despite his absence over the last two weeks. He enters Week 12 with 46 catches for 541 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury, is also expected to play, according to Schefter.
