The New York Giants placed tight end Evan Engram on injured reserve, the team announced Tuesday.
Engram hasn't played since Week 9 due to a foot injury. He hauled in 44 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns through eight games played in 2019.
The 23rd overall pick of the 2017 draft played in 19 combined games over this season and the 2018 season.
The 3-11 Giants snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 36-20 home victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The NFC East club holds the second-worst record in the league entering its Week 16 matchup against the Washington Redskins.
