Giants' Jones to start vs. Redskins after 2-game absence
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will start his team's Week 16 matchup against the Washington Redskins, the team announced Friday.
Jones has missed the Giants' last two games due to an ankle injury.
The No. 6 pick in the 2019 draft has made 11 appearances - 10 starts - in his rookie season, completing 61.6% of his passes for 2,374 yards and 18 touchdowns against 11 interceptions.
Jones has also added 241 yards and two TDs on the ground while suffering a league-high 15 fumbles.
The 3-11 Giants, who relied on veteran Eli Manning over the past two weeks, currently hold an eight-game losing streak with Jones under center.
After beating the Miami Dolphins in Week 15, New York will try to extend its winning streak over the Redskins to three games on Sunday.
