Steelers' Conner ruled out vs. Jets with thigh injury
Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has been ruled out of his team's game against the New York Jets due to a thigh injury, the team announced.
Conner suffered the injury during the second quarter and was taken to the locker room for extra evaluation. He didn't return for the second half of the tilt, finishing with 32 yards on six carries.
The 24-year-old, who has missed five games this season due to injury, entered Week 16 with 432 rushing yards and four touchdowns through nine contests in 2019. He also added 251 yards and three scores on 34 receptions prior to Sunday.
The Steelers went to halftime tied 10-10 against the Jets. Pittsburgh went back to Mason Rudolph under center midway through the first half after two early Devlin Hodges interceptions.
