The Houston Texans are expected to rest several starters in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Tennessee Titans, including quarterback Deshaun Watson, who will serve as AJ McCarron's backup, according to Dianna Russini of ESPN.

Officially, Watson is active for Week 17. Offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, wide receiver Kenny Stills, and cornerback Bradley Roby are among the notable inactives.

Houston clinched the AFC South last Saturday but can't attain a first-round bye. The Texans enter Week 17 as the fourth seed and can move up one spot with a win and a Kansas City loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

McCarron last started in 2015 as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals. Watson, meanwhile, will likely end his third regular season with 3,852 yards and 26 passing touchdowns against 12 interceptions.
