Report: Eagles looking to move Jeffery
Alshon Jeffery's days in Philadelphia may be numbered.
The Eagles are looking to move Jeffery, who would welcome a change of scenery, according to The Athletic's Connor Hughes.
Jeffery's agent took to Twitter to refute the report's sentiments minutes after it came out.
Despite making the playoffs, Philadelphia had an up-and-down 2019 campaign. During the season, an anonymous player reportedly criticized quarterback Carson Wentz and the offense's ability to function. Several Eagles reporters confirmed it was Jeffery.
Wentz and the wideout never saw eye-to-eye and their relationship was testy, Hughes reports.
Jeffery, 30, is locked into his contract through 2021, as he signed a four-year, $52-million extension with Philadelphia at the end of his first campaign with the club in 2017.
The former Chicago Bears pass-catcher had his quietest season as a member of the Eagles in 2019, amassing 43 receptions, 490 yards, and four touchdowns in 10 games.
