Dolphins agree to terms with Flowers on 3-year, $30M deal
The Ereck Flowers signing is the first shoe to drop in NFL free agency.
The Miami Dolphins agreed to terms with the offensive lineman on a three-year, $30-million contract with $19.95 million fully guaranteed, the player's agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It's the first deal agreed upon during the legal tampering period before NFL free agency opens on Wednesday.
Flowers, the ninth overall pick in 2015, spent his first four seasons with the New York Giants before being waived in 2018 and the Jacksonville Jaguars signed him.
The 25-year-old inked a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins in 2019 and turned it into a three-year contract with the Dolphins.
Flowers moved from tackle to left guard with Washington. After being called for 20 penalties and allowing 11 sacks in his first two seasons, he took four penalties and gave up 2.5 sacks with the Redskins.
