Drew Brees isn't going anywhere, as the legendary quarterback agreed to a two-year deal worth roughly $50 million with the New Orleans Saints, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 41-year-old took less money to help the Saints continue to build around him, Rapoport added.
Brees remained productive in 2019, throwing 27 touchdowns to four interceptions with 2,979 passing yards in 11 games. He also led the league with a 74.3 completion percentage for the third consecutive season and the sixth time in his career.
Brees, the league's all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns, is about to embark on his 15th season with the Saints, and 20th overall NFL campaign.
