Report: Mekhi Becton among prospects with flagged drug tests at combine
Offensive tackle Mekhi Becton was among multiple players who had drug tests flagged at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
NFL teams were made aware of the situation, Rapoport reports.
Becton is projected to be an early first-round selection in the upcoming draft after an impressive performance at the combine. He never had a failed drug test during his two-year stint at Louisville.
Becton will now enter Stage 1 of the NFL's intervention program for no more than 60 days, according to rules set forth in the new collective bargaining agreement. If no further flagged tests or other issues arise over those 60 days, Becton "will thereafter assume the same status as players who have never been referred to the intervention program," according to Rapoport.
The 2020 NFL Draft will take place virtually from April 23-25.
