The Las Vegas Raiders are "kicking the tires" on trading for Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic.

However, the Raiders and Jaguars aren't close to reaching a deal, as negotiations haven't reached a back and forth on compensation, Tafur added.

Jacksonville kept Ngakoue away from free agency this offseason by placing its franchise tag on him. However, the 25-year-old has publicly asked to be traded and doesn't intend to sign a long-term deal with the team.

Ngakoue, who's reportedly generated trade interest from multiple teams, has said he wants to join a club where "winning is a habit" and then reiterated his desire to play elsewhere in a heated discussion on Twitter with Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan.

The 2017 Pro Bowler has amassed 37.5 sacks since the Jaguars selected him in the third round of the 2016 draft. He's forced 14 fumbles in the last four seasons, the fourth-highest mark in the NFL.

The Raiders (Nos. 12 and 19) and Jaguars (Nos. 9 and 20) each have multiple first-round picks this year.
