NFL releases full 2020 schedule
NFL teams announced their schedules for the 2020 regular season on Thursday night.
The league will return to its tradition of the defending Super Bowl champion hosting the first game of the year. The Kansas City Chiefs will welcome the Houston Texans on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Arrowhead Stadium. The two teams previously met in the 2019 divisional playoff round, with the Chiefs overcoming an early 24-0 deficit.
The Week 1 prime-time slate continues with the Los Angeles Rams opening their glitzy new home venue, SoFi Stadium, against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The Monday Night Football doubleheader begins with the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the New York Giants, and it concludes with the Denver Broncos hosting the Tennessee Titans.
The schedule was built with each club playing two of its first four games at home and the other two on the road, NFL.com's Judy Battista reports. That move was made in the event games are canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
