Report: Dez Bryant expected to work out with Ravens
Free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant is expected to work out with the Baltimore Ravens this week, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Jane Slater.
The parties discussed a workout previously, with Bryant reaching out to head coach John Harbaugh prior to the draft in April, Slater adds.
Harbaugh declined to comment on Bryant's reported workout during Ravens practice Monday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.
The three-time Pro Bowler last played in 2017, and he's asked for a chance to return to the field multiple times since, including this offseason.
Bryant has been in talks with several teams regarding a potential workout, sources told ESPN's Josina Anderson.
The Cowboys released him in April 2018, and then he signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints later that year midway through the season. However, the now 31-year-old tore his Achilles tendon two days later, ending his Saints tenure prematurely.
A 2010 first-round pick, Bryant became one of the NFL's best wide receivers soon after entering the league, racking up 1,200-plus receiving yards in three straight campaigns from 2012 to 2014 and 41 total touchdowns. The All-Pro led the league with 16 touchdown receptions in 2014.
Bryant made his last Pro Bowl appearance in 2016, and he amassed 69 catches for 838 yards and six touchdowns in his final season with the Cowboys.
The Ravens, meanwhile, have been focused on adding to their receiving corps over the past two years and supporting quarterback Lamar Jackson. Baltimore selected wideout Marquise Brown in the first round in 2019, and the team reportedly discussed signing former All-Pro pass-catcher Antonio Brown earlier this offseason.
