Russell Wilson: 'There is a whole other space' Seahawks' offense can go to
The Seattle Seahawks are off to a red-hot start this season, and Russell Wilson believes the offense still hasn't reached its full potential.
"There's room for improvement," Wilson said, per ESPN's Brady Henderson. "I believe there is a whole other space we can go to with this offense, and that's what I'm searching for."
The Seahawks are currently second in the NFL in scoring, averaging 37 points per game, and are also perfect in the red zone, converting all nine trips into touchdowns.
Wilson is off to one of the best starts in NFL history - the quarterback set the NFL record for most touchdown passes through the first three games of a season with 14.
Wide receiver Tyler Lockett also spoke on the offense's approach on the field.
“We are literally trying to put the fear into people we are playing against," Lockett said, according to The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta.
Lockett leads the Seahawks in receptions (24) and sits tied for the league lead in receiving touchdowns (4). He and DK Metcalf have emerged as one of the league's strongest receiving duos this season.
The Seahawks will head to Miami to take on the Dolphins in Week 4. The Dolphins' defense currently ranks 25th in the NFL in total yardage allowed.
