The San Francisco 49ers will have two of their most important offensive weapons back in Week 4.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle will play Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury.

Samuel has yet to play this season after being placed on injured reserve with a broken foot. The former second-round pick registered 802 receiving yards and six touchdowns during his rookie campaign in 2019. His 473 yards after the catch were the most by a first-year receiver since 2006, according to PFF.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated he'll be cautious with Samuel's role in his return Sunday.

"We've got to be smart with him," Shanahan said. "I know he'll be out there but it won't be his normal role, that's for sure."

Kittle missed San Francisco's last two games after suffering a knee injury in Week 1. The 26-year-old caught four passes for 44 yards in the team's season opener.

Meanwhile, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) and running back Raheem Mostert (knee) will remain sidelined for the second straight contest. Nick Mullens will take over under center for the 49ers after leading them to a 36-9 victory over the New York Giants in Week 3.
