The New Orleans Saints-Detroit Lions game will be played as scheduled Sunday at 1 p.m. ET after New Orleans fullback Michael Burton's retest came back as a false positive, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

"Everything that should have happened did happen, protocol-wise," the source added to Rapoport.

The Saints traveled to Detroit on Saturday to face the Lions and reportedly tested seven individuals who were in contact with Burton on the same flight. Those players tested negative as well, according to ESPN.

Two other games in Week 4 have been postponed due to positive tests. The Tennessee Titans will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7 after the AFC South club experienced a coronavirus outbreak, while the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs will play on Monday or Tuesday after positive tests on both teams.

Burton inked a one-year deal with the Saints in March after spending the 2019 season with the Washington Football Team. The 28-year-old, who entered the NFL as the Detroit Lions' fifth-round pick in 2015, has played in 16% of New Orleans' offensive snaps this season, contributing mostly as a blocker.

The NFL has experienced multiple COVID-19 outbreaks this week. Almost 20 members of the Tennessee Titans have tested positive since Monday, and at least one player from both the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots had the virus Saturday, including quarterback Cam Newton.
