Julio Jones ruled out vs. Panthers with hamstring injury
The Atlanta Falcons officially ruled out wide receiver Julio Jones for Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring injury.
The Falcons receiver also missed Week 3 due to the ailment and returned briefly in Week 4 before reaggravating the injury.
The 31-year-old receiver has caught 15 passes for 213 yards through three games this year.
Quarterback Matt Ryan will likely turn to receivers Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage in Jones' absence.
Ridley leads the team with 349 receiving yards while Gage has contributed 208 receiving yards.
Atlanta will also be without running back Qadree Ollison and safety Jaylinn Hawkins. The team will be aided by cornerback AJ Terrell's return after spending the last two weeks on the team's COVID-19 list. Terrell, a first-round pick, started the first two games of the year for the Falcons.
The 0-4 Falcons are searching for their first victory of the season Sunday.
