Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones is active against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, the team announced.

Additionally, the Packers ruled out offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, who will miss his third straight game with a chest injury.

Jones entered Week 9 a game-time decision due to a calf injury that kept him out of Green Bay's past two games.

The 25-yard-old's status is crucial for the Packers' backfield against the 49ers, as backup running backs A.J. Dillon and Jamaal Williams were ruled out for the game after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The next runners on Green Bay's depth chart are Tyler Ervin and Dexter Williams. Ervin has 10 career carries in five years, and Williams has five rushes in two seasons.

Jones has racked up 550 scrimmage yards and seven touchdowns through five appearances this season.

The 2017 fifth-round pick, who led the NFL with 19 total touchdowns in 2019, is currently on the last year of his rookie deal.
