Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to make a full recovery after undergoing successful knee surgery Wednesday.
"Joe will begin the recovery process and we look forward to his return," the Bengals said in a statement.
Burrow tore his ACL and MCL against the Washington Football Team in Week 11. He also suffered other structural damage to his left knee.
Burrow threw 13 touchdowns and five interceptions this season after being picked No. 1 overall in April. He also averaged 269 passing yards per game and completed over 65% of his throws.
Although there's currently no exact timeline for Burrow's recovery, head coach Zac Taylor said he expects the former LSU quarterback to be ready for the 2021 campaign.
