Giants' Jones doubtful to play vs. Seahawks
The NFC East-leading New York Giants will likely have to find a way to beat the Seattle Seahawks without their starting quarterback after listing Daniel Jones as doubtful for Sunday's contest due to a hamstring injury.
Colt McCoy is expected to start for New York if Jones is sidelined.
Jones, 23, suffered the injury in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals and was replaced by McCoy. The 34-year-old completed 6 of 10 passes for 31 yards in relief of Jones.
The sixth overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, Jones is in the midst of an inconsistent season. The signal-caller has thrown for more interceptions (nine) than touchdowns (eight) on the year but hasn't thrown an interception in his last three games. Jones is also the Giants' leading rusher with 403 yards on the ground, a testament to the team's offensive struggles.
McCoy, a 10-year NFL veteran, has made just 28 career starts and owns a 7-21 record. He's also tossed 29 career touchdowns to 27 interceptions.
The 4-7 Giants sit first in the NFC East due to a tiebreaker over Washington, but the division remains wide-open with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys still in the mix.
