New York Giants quarterback Colt McCoy will start against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday night in place of Daniel Jones, who's dealing with hamstring and ankle injuries, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Jones returned in Week 14 from the hamstring injury that sidelined him for one game but suffered an additional ailment in the contest, during which the Arizona Cardinals sacked him eight times.

McCoy led the Giants to an upset win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. The 34-year-old completed 59% of his passes and threw one touchdown in the 17-12 victory.

Sunday night's game will also match up McCoy against his former team. The veteran passer spent the first three years of his career in Cleveland but didn't pan out, holding a 6-15 record.

Jones, a top-10 pick in the 2019 draft, has been inconsistent this season. The signal-caller has tossed eight touchdowns to nine interceptions and hasn't thrown a touchdown pass over his last three contests.

The Giants are 5-8 and one game behind the Washington Football Team in the NFC East.
