New Orleans Saints pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson will not play in Sunday's wild-card game against the Chicago Bears due to a neck injury, the team announced Friday.
Hendrickson, who tied with Aaron Donald for the second-most sacks (13.5) in the NFL this season, practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday but missed Thursday's and Friday's session.
More pressure will fall on Cameron Jordan to contribute Sunday with his counterpart sidelined. Jordan registered 7.5 sacks this campaign.
Defensive end Marcus Davenport is expected to log more snaps in Hendrickson's place. A former first-round pick, Davenport notched just 1.5 sacks in 2020.
The Saints will also be without guard Nick Easton due to a concussion.
