Ronald Jones suffers pregame quad injury before playoff win vs. Washington
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones didn't play in Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Washington Football Team after suffering a quad injury during pregame warmups.
Leonard Fournette took over in the backfield, registering 93 yards and one touchdown yards on 19 carries during the 31-23 win. He also caught four passes for 39 yards.
Jones led Tampa Bay with 192 carries, 978 yards, and seven rushing touchdowns over 14 regular-season games. He's now paced the team in rushing during each of the last two campaigns.
The 23-year-old was listed on Tamba Bay's injury report ahead of the wild-card game due to quad and finger ailments, but he was able to practice throughout the week.
The Buccaneers ranked 28th in rushing yards during the regular season, averaging 94.9 per game.
