Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski shattered numerous NFL records during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

Brady's first-quarter touchdown pass to his longtime tight end was the 13th postseason TD shared by the duo, surpassing Joe Montana and Jerry Rice's mark of 12 scores.

The Buccaneers pair went back to work in the second quarter, connecting on another score. It marked their fifth career Super Bowl touchdown, which also eclipsed a record held by Montana and Rice (four).

On the first touchdown, Brady hit Gronkowski while he was running parallel to the line of scrimmage. The tight end did the rest, beating the Chiefs' defense to the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown.

It was the first postseason score between the two since Super Bowl LII when they connected twice as members of the New England Patriots. It also marks nine years since their first playoff touchdown, which came in a divisional matchup against the Denver Broncos.

A fourth-down offside penalty against the Chiefs set up the second touchdown pass. With a fresh set of downs, Brady delivered a 17-yard strike to Gronkowski off play-action.

Gronkowski also joined Rice as the only players in NFL history to record two or more touchdown receptions in multiple Super Bowls.

The pair of touchdowns gave the Buccaneers an early 14-3 lead that the team never looked back from. Tampa Bay rode the early momentum to a commanding 31-9 win against last year's champions.

Brady finished with 201 yards and three touchdowns, while Gronkowski finished as the team's leading receiver with 67 yards.
