The Carolina Panthers are using their franchise tag on offensive tackle Taylor Moton, the team announced Tuesday.

The tag's value is expected to be $13 million to $14 million, depending on the official salary-cap figure for the 2021 season.

Moton will be tied to Carolina for the 2021 campaign, but both sides are reportedly set to continue working toward a long-term deal. The deadline for contract agreements is July 15.

The 26-year-old has been a mainstay on the Panthers' offensive line, starting 48 games at right tackle over the last three seasons. He was PFF's 13th-highest ranked tackle in 2020.
