Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman was released from jail Thursday without bail, according to The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta.
"I see Mr. Sherman is a pillar in this community, he's a business owner, he's a husband, he's a father," the judge said, according to CBS Sports' Amy Dash.
Sherman was booked Wednesday on a burglary domestic violence charge after attempting to force his way into his in-laws' residence in Seattle. The charge has since been downgraded to a misdemeanor of criminal trespass.
Police had also recommended DUI and hit-and-run misdemeanor charges against Sherman after investigating a single-car incident that preceded his arrest.
Sherman has a second hearing Friday morning.
