Cowboys sign Malik Hooker
The Dallas Cowboys officially signed free-agent safety Malik Hooker.
Hooker, who worked out with the team last week, was spotted at Cowboys training camp Tuesday.
Hooker, who appeared in just two games last year due to a torn Achilles, spent the previous four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
The 2017 first-round pick registered three interceptions through seven games as a rookie before a torn ACL ended his freshman campaign.
The Ohio State product set a career high with 51 tackles through 13 appearances in 2019. He also recorded three pass breakups and two interceptions that year.
The Cowboys have been looking for help at safety this offseason, and Hooker adds competition at the position straight away. Dallas' safety depth chart also features Damontae Kazee, Reggie Robinson, Donovan Wilson, among other names.
