Report: Bengals, Hubbard strike 4-year, $40M extension
The Cincinnati Bengals and defensive end Sam Hubbard have reached an agreement on a four-year, $40-million extension, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Hubbard was set to play the last year of his rookie contract in 2021.
The 26-year-old racked up 62 tackles and a career-low two sacks through 13 appearances last season. Hubbard's posted 177 tackles (22 for loss of yards) and 16.5 sacks through 44 games since entering the NFL as a third-round pick in 2018.
Additionally, he's been a solid run defender:

Cincinnati has strongly addressed its pass rush this offseason after losing Carl Lawson to free agency. The Bengals handed free-agent defensive end Trey Hendrickson a four-year, $60-million deal and used third- and fourth-round picks on defensive ends Joseph Ossai and Cameron Sample, respectively.
