Report: Browns, Chubb agree to 3-year, $36.6M extension
The Cleveland Browns and running back Nick Chubb agreed to a three-year extension worth $36.6 million, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Chubb's deal reportedly includes $20 million fully guaranteed.
The 25-year-old, who was entering the final season of his rookie contract, has been one of the league's most productive rushers since being drafted in the second round in 2018.
The Georgia product has made 37 starts for the Browns and has been the club's leading rusher in each of his three seasons. He's coming off consecutive Pro Bowl campaigns after registering 2,561 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns over the last two years.
Chubb also set new career highs in rushing touchdowns (12) and yards per carry (5.6) last season as he helped guide Cleveland to its first playoff appearance since 2002.
The Browns now have both their feature backs locked up after they signed Kareem Hunt to an extension last year. Hunt is under contract through the 2022 season.
