Report: Former 1st-rounder Kevin White signing with Saints
The New Orleans Saints are signing former first-round wide receiver Kevin White, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
White, Bennie Fowler, and Devin Smith, among other receivers, worked out for the Saints on Tuesday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
White, 29, hasn't met expectations since entering the league as the seventh overall pick in 2015. He's yet to catch a touchdown, and he racked up just 25 receptions for 285 yards through his first three pro campaigns with the Chicago Bears. White spent last year with the San Francisco 49ers but played only nine snaps.
The Saints have been looking for wide receiver help this offseason. They lost Emmanuel Sanders to free agency and won't have their leading pass-catcher, Michael Thomas, to start the 2021 campaign due to an ankle ailment.
New Orleans also recently signed veteran wideout Chris Hogan, who'd entered the Premier Lacrosse League this offseason after spending the 2020 NFL campaign with the New York Jets. The Saints' wide receiver depth chart also features Marquez Callaway and Tre'Quan Smith, among others.
