The Indianapolis Colts placed guard Quenton Nelson and left tackle Eric Fisher on the COVID-19 list, the club announced Thursday.

Nelson was working his way back after undergoing foot surgery earlier this month. The All-Pro left guard participated in practice Monday for the first time since the procedure. He was reportedly trending toward playing in the Colts' regular-season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 12.

The 25-year-old hasn't missed a game since the Colts drafted him sixth overall in 2018. Nelson was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his three seasons.

Meanwhile, Fisher remains on the team's physically unable to perform list after tearing his Achilles while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs in last season's AFC Championship Game. The Colts signed the 30-year-old this offseason to fill the vacancy at left tackle after Anthony Castonzo retired, though it remains unknown when Fisher will be cleared to return.
