Report: Patriots' Harry to begin season on IR
New England Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry will begin the season on injured reserve with a shoulder ailment, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Harry will miss at least the first three games of the season as a result of the move and will be eligible to return in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 3.
The former first-round pass-catcher suffered the injury during New England's second preseason game. He was initially considered week-to-week after reportedly avoiding a major issue.
The 23-year-old had requested a trade this offseason after two disappointing campaigns. However, the Patriots kept Harry, with head coach Bill Belichick recently saying he expects the Arizona State product to have "a big contribution to our team," according to Darren Hartwell of NBC Sports.
Harry has amassed just 45 receptions for 414 yards and four touchdowns through 21 appearances with the Patriots.
