Steelers lose JuJu, Bush to injuries in win over Broncos
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster went to the hospital for tests on his injured shoulder, head coach Mike Tomlin said Sunday, according to ESPN's Brooke Pryor.
The wide receiver appeared to be in serious pain after suffering the ailment during the second quarter. The Steelers went on to beat the Denver Broncos without him.
Smith-Schuster, who was previously hampered by a rib injury, carried the ball twice for six yards against the Broncos. He didn't record a catch.
The 24-year-old's production has declined in 2021 with the Steelers relying more on Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool. Smith-Schuster ranked fourth on the team with 129 receiving yards entering Week 5.
Linebacker Devin Bush also exited the contest after suffering a groin injury. He notched one sack - his second of the season - before leaving.
