Rams' McVay: 2-game losing streak has been humbling
The Los Angeles Rams have come back down to earth after losing two games in a row following a 7-1 start.
The two-game slide was capped off with a 31-10 beatdown at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night. However, head coach Sean McVay believes the disappointing performances are not a true reflection of his club.
"I choose to believe that these last couple of weeks are not who we are," McVay said, according to Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk. "I refuse to believe that even though you know what, you’re only as good as your last game. These last two weeks have certainly been humbling.”
The Rams have been outscored 59-26 over their last two games. Their 10-point showing Monday was also a season low.
Matthew Stafford has noticeably struggled during the slide, throwing two touchdowns to four interceptions.
Los Angeles heads into its bye week with a record of 7-3. The Rams' next contest will come on the road in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers.
