Kamara set to return in Week 14 vs. Jets after 4-game absence
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara wasn't listed on the injury report Friday after being a full participant at practice this week, putting him on track to play Sunday against the New York Jets, according to Amie Just of NOLA.com.
Kamara missed the last four games due to a knee injury. He was "real close" to playing last week, but a hamstring ailment kept the star rusher sidelined, head coach Sean Payton said Friday, according to Jori Parys of WGNO-TV.
The four-time Pro Bowler leads the Saints with 840 scrimmage yards and seven total touchdowns despite appearing in only eight games this season.
Veteran Mark Ingram, who carried the load at running back for New Orleans while Kamara was sidelined, was recently placed on the COVID-19 list and his status for Sunday is uncertain.
The Saints enter Week 14 trying to snap a five-game losing streak.
