Rams' Ramsey, Higbee miss MNF after hitting COVID-19 list
The Los Angeles Rams placed cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Tyler Higbee on the COVID-19 reserve Monday, the team announced.
Both players missed the Monday Night Football contest against the Arizona Cardinals as a result of their placement on the reserve group.
Los Angeles now has five players on the COVID-19 list, including running back Darrell Henderson, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ramsey tested positive while Higbee initially received a positive result but then tested negative twice, Schefter added. The latter can be activated Tuesday if he tests negative again.
Head coach Sean McVay said in August that only one player on the Rams' active roster was unvaccinated before the season, per Cameron DaSilva of USA Today.
Losing Ramsey is a big blow for the Rams. The four-time Pro Bowler has racked up 59 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and three interceptions this season while allowing a 69.2 passer rating when targeted.
Higbee ranks third on the team in receptions behind only wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods - the latter of whom recently suffered a season-ending injury. Higbee has amassed 395 yards and three touchdowns on 44 catches in 2021.
