Bears lose Allen Robinson, 5 other players to COVID-19 protocol
The Chicago Bears placed six players in COVID-19 protocol, including wide receiver Allen Robinson, the team announced Thursday.
Tight end Jesse James, safety Eddie Jackson, linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe, running back Ryan Nall and wide receiver Isaiah Coulter were the others placed in protocol.
All three of the Bears' coordinators - offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, defensive coordinator Sean Desai, and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor - also entered protocol, head coach Matt Nagy announced.
Their status for the upcoming Monday night contest against the Minnesota Vikings remains uncertain.
Nagy also noted that the team will be holding virtual meetings after practice due to the number of players on the COVID-19 list and others dealing with non-COVID illnesses, according to Kaitlin Sharkey of FOX 32.
The Bears are one of many NFL teams currently dealing with COVID-19-related issues. The league recorded a single-day high of 37 positive cases Monday.
