Harbaugh: Lamar 'has a chance' to play vs. Packers despite not practicing

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's status for Sunday's clash against the Green Bay Packers remains uncertain.

Jackson hasn't practiced this week due to an ankle injury, but head coach John Harbaugh isn't ready to rule the signal-caller out yet.

"I'd say he has a chance. Will check him out pregame," Harbaugh said Friday, according to Stacey Dales of NFL Network. "He's in all the preparations. If not, we've got Tyler (Huntley). He'll be ready to go also."

Jackson is officially listed as questionable, per Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun.

The 24-year-old sprained his ankle during last week's 24-22 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He was carted to the locker room after exiting the game in the second quarter and didn't return.

Huntley, who replaced Jackson versus Cleveland and almost led Baltimore to an improbable comeback, has already started one game this year. He helped the Ravens edge the Chicago Bears in Week 11 in place of Jackson, who missed that contest due to an illness.

Harbaugh said Monday he was optimistic about Jackson's availability in Week 15.

The 2019 NFL MVP has struggled lately, amassing only three touchdowns against six interceptions over his last four appearances. He's tossed 16 touchdown passes to 13 picks through 12 games this year while also adding 767 yards and two scores on the ground.

Baltimore's depth chart also features veteran Josh Johnson, who was signed off the New York Jets' practice squad Wednesday.

The 8-5 Ravens enter Week 15 on a two-game skid, but they still sit first in the AFC North.
