Wentz: Judon went after my 'ability to reproduce'
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz says New England Patriots linebacker Matt Judon crossed the line during their skirmish in Saturday night's game.
The two players jawed at each other following a third-quarter sack by the Patriots. Wentz said postgame that Judon hit him below the belt.
"Don't need to go into specifics, obviously, but when a man’s ability to reproduce is being in question, and there's some other extracurriculars, guys' hands need to be at their sides," Wentz said, according to Joel A. Erickson of The Indy Star.
"Let's just say that. When that happens, you can get pretty riled up."
Judon downplayed any issues with the Colts quarterback following the game, stating he wasn't sure why Wentz was upset.
"Leave it out on the field," Judon said, per Erickson. "Carson's a good guy. He got mad about something, who knows, and I guess that anger was directed towards me."
Wentz and Judon weren't the only pair to get into it during the game. Colts wideout Michael Pittman and Patriots defensive back Kyle Dugger were also ejected after fighting in the third quarter.
The Colts prevailed Saturday with a 27-17 win. Wentz completed just 5 of 12 passes for 57 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Judon failed to record a sack.
