New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Wednesday, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
Tight ends coach Ron Middleton will assume coaching duties for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars if Saleh can't clear protocols.
Saleh joins the Jets' growing list of members in COVID-19 protocols.
Saleh is in the midst of his first season as New York's head coach. His club is 3-11 while ranking 27th in scoring offense and last in points allowed.
The matchup between the 3-11 Jets and 2-12 Jaguars will have implications on the 2022 NFL Draft order.
