Chargers-Raiders to SNF in Week 18; Chiefs-Broncos, Cowboys-Eagles on Saturday
The NFL announced that the win-and-in matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders will be flexed to Sunday Night Football in Week 18.
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos will collide in the early prime-time slot Saturday before the Dallas Cowboys meet the Philadelphia Eagles later that night.
Day | Matchup | Time (ET) |
---|---|---|
Saturday | Chiefs at Broncos | 4:30 p.m. |
Saturday | Cowboys at Eagles | 8:15 p.m. |
Sunday | Chargers at Raiders | 8:20 p.m. |
The Chargers and Raiders will both enter Sunday night with a 9-7 record. Los Angeles took the first meeting, defeating Las Vegas 28-14 at home in Week 4.
However, the Raiders carry momentum into the final week of the season. Rich Bisaccia's side is in the midst of a three-game winning streak after defeating the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns.
As for the Saturday doubleheader, the Chiefs will need a win to keep any hope of securing the AFC's top seed alive. The Tennessee Titans overtook Kansas City for the No. 1 seed following the Chiefs' dramatic loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17.
The Eagles and Cowboys will add another chapter to their divisional rivalry with both sides already having clinched playoff berths. Philadelphia has earned a wild-card appearance while Dallas has locked up the NFC East, though a win for either side could shake up playoff seeding.
The league also released a finalized timetable of its afternoon Sunday slate for Week 18.
