Titans activate Julio ahead of pivotal game vs. Texans
The Tennessee Titans have activated Julio Jones off the COVID-19 list ahead of a crucial Week 18 matchup against the Houston Texans, the team announced Monday.
Jones missed Tennessee's Week 17 win over the Miami Dolphins while on the reserve. He's also battled a recurring hamstring injury this season. Limited to just nine games thus far, the veteran has amassed 376 yards on 26 receptions, though he's still searching for his first touchdown.
The team also activated linebacker Jayon Brown and tackle Kendall Lamm off the COVID-19 list.
With a win Sunday, the Titans can clinch the AFC's No. 1 seed, giving them a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Tennessee has won three of its last four games and looks to be rounding into shape before the postseason. Wideout A.J. Brown rejoined the lineup in Week 16, while the club is also awaiting the possible return of running back Derrick Henry.
