The Dallas Cowboys announced Wednesday that they've placed linebacker Micah Parsons on the COVID-19 reserve list, according to Bobby Belt of 105.3 The FAN.

Parsons' status for Dallas' regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday is now uncertain.

The 22-year-old rookie has put on a show this season, placing himself in contention for the Defensive Player of the Year award. He's racked up 84 tackles, 13 sacks, and three forced fumbles through 16 games to go along with a league-high 20 tackles for loss.

Parsons is just 1.5 sacks shy of the rookie record, set by former Tennessee Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse in 1999.

The 11-5 Cowboys have already clinched the NFC East title but can still move up in the playoff seeding in Week 18, though the Green Bay Packers have already locked up the conference's No. 1 seed.
