NFL combine - Day 4: Barnes enters record book, Gardner sizzles
Baylor's Kalon Barnes set the fastest 40-yard dash time for a defensive back in NFL combine history, running an official time of 4.23 on Sunday. Barnes' rapid pace set a new position record and just narrowly missed John Ross' all-time combine record of 4.22.

UTSA's Tariq Woolen garnered a few looks for his 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame but grabbed everyone's attention with a blazing unofficial time of 4.31 in the 40-yard dash, which was later adjusted to an official mark of 4.26.

Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner certainly lived up to his billing Sunday. Not only did he arrive to workouts with a "Sauce" diamond chain, he flashed on the field, too. The Cincinnati product set his best 40-yard dash time on his second attempt, running an official time of 4.41.

Notre Dame's Kyle Hamilton, a projected top-10 selection, posted an impressive 38-inch vertical leap and notched a 10-foot, 11-inch broad jump. The 2021 Chuck Bednarik finalist turned in respectable times in the 40-yard dash (4.59), three-cone drill (6.9), and short shuttle (4.32).

Georgia's contingent of prospects continued to shine over the weekend. Safety Lewis Cine recorded a 4.37 40 time; the Cedar Hill, Texas, native also posted a 36.5-inch vertical to further highlight his athleticism.
